Offered in a mix of online and in-class at Petrel College’s School of Built Environment BIM lab to fit the busy schedule of professionals – these courses provide the opportunity for practical hands-on training.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Deploy BIM applications in integrated project delivery from project conceptualization
- Understand and implement Design and Construction BIM practices
- Practice BIM tools and process through individual and a collaborative framework
- On completion of the full training Program participants will be awarded a Petrel College – School of Built Environment Certificate of Completion
- Upon successful completion of this Building Information Modeling (BIM) Executive Management Training, participants will be eligible for CanBIM Foundations Theory & Software Skills – Proficient Software & Management and professional certification.
This course covers a variety of concepts key to the implementation and management of BIM. It includes Canadian and International standards, policies and procedures, organizational commitment, legal implications, interoperability of BIM platforms, methods of delivery and BIM execution.
This course introduces the students to BIM modeling practices and initial steps to use Revit in a BIM environment.
3D Modeling is the next level of Revit Training for participants in which students create and complete their first full project through a guided online tutorial.
This hands‐on workshop covers BIM Tools Integration in which students apply Revit BIM concepts with Navisworks integration including project creation, file management and data management.
BIM Project Collaboration provides practical hands-on training in BIM project creation, file management and LOD framework.
This BIM Executive Training program prepares participants to undertake technical and managerial roles in the design and construction industry. Career options available to participants of this program may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Course Delivery Method:
For all online courses, refer to the basic technology requirements for online courses. If you are planning to register for more than one course at the same time, email us before you register.
Course Hours: BIM Fundamentals, Introduction to 3D Modeling & 3D Modeling are 40 hours each (total of 120 Hours – e‐Learning hours. Register and Complete courses within 3 months; offered 3 times a year.
Start January, May and September
BIM Tools Integration & BIM Project Collaboration are 40 hours each in-class workshop
Course Fee: Program costs ranges from $2499 to $3499 for individuals. Price is subject to the location of the training and registration numbers.
