This Course will teach the student the typical protection for the power electrical equipment:

  • Power Transformers
  • Substations
  • Cables and Bus Bars
  • Generators
  • Motors

The student will also learn the methods of neutral grounding of the major electrical equipment and influence over the capacitive charging current and voltage fluctuation during a fault.

All types of faults will be discussed phase to ground; phase to phase to ground or symmetrical three phase fault. Direct; reverse and zero sequence components are also discussed. There is a manual available for the course, each major topic of the course is also presented in a dedicated video. The student has access to Easy Power, course manual and video presentations for 6 weeks, in order to complete all the assignments.
