We offer software-supported short and long-term courses that are specifically designed to grow your knowledge and capabilities. Our staff are selected from industry professionals with years of related experience.
Working with industry, we identified the market needs for an internationally recognized training program. We wanted to formalize the training so that candidates, upon completion, would have a certificate or diploma recognizing their achievement.
Our experiences with Petro-Ex culminated in the formation of Petrel College of Technology, under the auspices of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities of the Province of Ontario, Canada.

Credentials that are earned outside of Canada will be evaluated by the Petrel College Admissions Committee on a case by case basis. No other external evaluation will be required.
You will receive your Petrel College Student ID and information. Use your ID to follow the status of your application by emailing to admission@petrelcollege.ca
Before starting your application, please have all of the necessary documents ready. All documents should be scanned and emailed during the application process. Applications that are incomplete at the time of receipt may be delayed or denied.
If you have information that you believe will assist our review, send it as an email attachment to admission@petrelcollege.ca. Include your name and ID in the subject of the email.
The partial payment of tuition fee will has to be paid and the payable amount will be mentioned in the ‘Notice of Acceptance’. Please do not make a payment before you have received a ‘Notice of Acceptance’. Please email the proof of wire transfer to admission@petrelcollege.ca along with your student ID and name as notification that the funds have been sent to avoid having your offer expired.
If immigration authorities at a Canadian Embassy or High Commission Office issues you a letter denying the request for a study permit, or you have not received your approval in time to start classes, you must withdraw your application in writing. You may request a refund or to defer your start date to a future term.
To make changes to your application once it has been submitted, please contact us at admission@petrelcollege.ca. Please keep in mind that there is a limit to the number of changes that can be made. If you wish to change to a program that was not included in the initial choices, you must submit a new application, pay the application fee, and the new application will be processed in the order that it is received. All change requests depend on seat availability, and any follow-up applications submitted will not be processed on priority.
If you wish to change your agent, you will need to cancel your current application and re-apply. Please be advised that any progress made on your current application will be lost, and you will need to start over again Your new agent will help you re-apply to your program.
The application can only be deferred prior to approval of the admission committee and the availability of classes. Students have to notify in writing with appropriate reasons for deferring which will be evaluated by the admissions committee.
If you missed the deadline to accept your offer, but still wish to accept it, please notify in writing with appropriate reasons. Decisions to extend offer deadlines are made on a case by case basis. If there is space available, you will be contacted and advised of next steps. If there are no spaces available at the time, you will be placed on a waitlist and contacted only if a space becomes available.
If you missed the deadline to pay, but still wish to pay and attend, please notify by email to admission@petrelcollege.ca. Decisions to reinstate acceptances and accept late payments are made on a case by case basis. If there is space available, you will be contacted advised of next steps. If there are no spaces available at the time, you will be placed on a waitlist and will be contacted only if a space becomes available.
Admission decisions such as offer letters and fees statements are sent to you by email to the address provided in your application. If an authorized agent’s details were provided at the time of application, we will send a copy of these documents to their email as well.

You may defer your application to a later start date if you were offered a seat and paid minimum first semester fees for your program by the fees deadline we gave you.
To defer your start date please make a request in writing by the tenth day of scheduled classes by emailing to admission@petrelcollege.ca
Yes, you need to submit IELTS or TOEFL result and meet our minimum requirement. You may be exempt if you if you successfully complete an English preparatory program at any approved institute by Petrel College with satisfactory marks.
