Milling Level 2 - MasterCAM (CAM 202)
In the first part of this course students learn advance methods for machining surfaces, deep pocket, steep surfaces by utilizing existing advanced tools and by creating custom ones. Optimization through shorter tool path and increasing cutting feeds-speeds are another focus are in this course. In the second part of this course students will learn about Turning Centres. Spindle (chuck) and material set, tool selection and canned cycle methods are some topics covered on the second part.
This course is designed for individuals seeking a profession in mechanical engineering field at the level of a technician, technologist or skilled worker. General Machinists, Tool and Die Makers, Mold Makers, CNC Programmers, Millwrights, Mechanical Maintenance Technicians, Consumer Product Designers, Machine Tool Designers, Technology Hobbyists and Prototype Developers require this mid-level course to pursue and succeed in their relevant industrial fields.
- Tool path types (roughing, scallop, radial, finishing etc.)
