Milling Level 1 - MasterCAM (CAM 201)

The first part of this course focuses on drafting and design techniques in 2D environment. Lines, areas, solids and surfaces are examined and practiced. Once a geometry is completed it is used in the second part of this course to create tool path for a 3 axis milling machine. Contours, Pockets, Surfaces and canned cycles are examples of lesson taught in this course. Students learn to select best tools and cutting methods to maximize efficiency by generating shortest cutting time. Tool path generation, post processing and G code editing are final lessons of this level.
